Dr. Schinke brings a "science-to-practice" approach to performance, offering elite strategies that transcend traditional coaching.
  • Learn from a Global Leader: Dr. Schinke is the current two-term President of the International Society of Sport Psychology (2017-2025) and a former President of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
  • Proven Results with World Champions: Since 2000, he has worked extensively with world-champion professional athletes featured on HBO and Showtime.
  • A Holistic, Culturally-Sensitive Approach: Moving beyond the "universal" methods of mainstream institutions, Dr. Schinke’s research as a Canada Research Chair focuses on culturally-relevant motivation. He has worked with local reserves in Northern Ontario to develop support practices that keep youth active and healthy.
  • Elite Athletic Pedigree: A former equestrian athlete, he competed in four North and South American Junior Championships and was a member of Canada’s 1987 Pan-American Games Team.
  • Practical Life Skills: Topics include optimizing high-performance environments, managing major life transitions, and organization-wide capacity building.
About Dr. Robert Schinke

Dr. Robert Schinke (EdD, HKin) is a Laurentian University Teaching Fellow and a globally recognized researcher with over 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications. His work has been supported by the International Olympic Committee and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He has authored or co-edited 27 textbooks, including the Routledge International Handbook of Sport Psychology and the ISSP Encyclopedia. Twice awarded the Canadian Sport Science Research Award, he is dedicated to transforming how we look at sport, recreation, and mental health.

We’re excited to announce that two of our boxers have qualified for the Provincial Championships on October 3rd in Windsor! To help them get there, we’re raising funds with a goal of $2,000. Thanks to a generous $500 donation, we only need $1,500 more to make this possible.
